Special Mention for Things Unsaid at the Catania KinEst Fest

Special Mention for Things Unsaid at the Catania KinEst Fest, with the following motivation:

Is an intelligent, actual and relevant Kammerspiel (chamber play). By using black-and-white still to rhythmically organize the film’s poetic, it meanwhile empowers its emotional tone, adds layers to the actor’s performance and echoes their emotions. The psychological drama, taking place at one main location with three characters, works in its interior tension throughout the whole film without the need of adding any spectacular dramatic scene. Thus, the film keeps its premise and promise of having “things unsaid” until the very end. As for the direction’s craftsmanship to keep the tension in this one house among three characters, the jury decides upon this Special Mention“. 📽
